This post is a bit belated, but here is the first performance of Girls Aloud's 3rd and final single off Out of Control entitled "Untouchable." The performance is the radio edit of the song because the album version is 6:45 in length. It really is their "Stairway to Heaven!"--well not anymore. They're performing on the show Dancing on Ice so you can never tell if the audience is clapping for the girls' "amazing" vocal chops or the ice dancers' corny moves. The use of suspension wires (especially in combination with ice dancing movies) is quite powerful. Enjoy!

BRIT Awards Performances!
Here are a few of my favourite performances from the big night! There were some truly amazing performances that totally outdid the Grammy's in my opinion. I still can't believe the Grammy's didn't have Duffy perform during the live show--at least the Brits got that right!!
Co-hosts Kylie Minogue, James Corden and Matthew Horne opening the evening in quite a comical ode to Kylie.
Girls Aloud performed "The Promise" and shockingly it was their first performance ever at the BRITs! The girls did a great job and it was a fun performance. I was waiting for the big reveal of their outfits for the entire time! I just really wish the girls could actually dance(other than Cheryl).
I was super excited to hear that two of my fave artists were performing together! The Ting Tings and Estelle brought down the house by the end of their number! At first it started off a bit disastrous when they tried to mash up "Shut Up and Let Me Go" along with "American Boy" but the songs just do not go well together. Things finished off at a high point with "That's Not My Name," the song that put The Ting Tings on the map.
Duffy performed a gorgeous rendition of "Warwick Avenue." She can do no wrong in my eyes. She is just perfection! Though I'm a bit surprised she didn't perform her newer single "Rain on Your Parade."
The Pet Shop Boys were honored and performed a long medley of their biggest hits. Lady Gaga and Brandon Flowers from The Killers joined them on stage. Decent performence, but a bit long even for a medley. I also can't say that Gaga's and Flower's vocals really mesh well together.

Top of the Pops Christmas Special!
For Christmas day Top of the Pops in The UK aired a special of performances from song of the year's top artists. When I saw the list of performers expected, I literally would have sold my first born (not that I want one, but you get the idea) in order to attend. Unfortunately, I was across the pond in the US anyway. Here are some of the best performances from the show:
Girls Aloud-"The Promise"
I just NEVER get sick of this song! Good performance once again, but Nicola still looks nightmarish!
Pussycat Dolls-"I Hate This Part"
The only international artists on the show represent! I love this track, so I hope it will continue its upward movement on the charts worldwide. Nicole is a bit tired in her dance routine, but Melody's backing harmonies are a great touch.
Leona Lewis-"Run"
Not many performers actually add to a song in live performance but Leona always seems to. This performance of this epic song is absolutely stunning!
Alexandra Burke-"Hallelujah"
A fitting track for Christmas day, especially since it currently sits at #1 on the singles charts in the UK and is the fastest selling download of the year. The performance is a bit hoarse, and certainly does not top Leona in technique.
Mamma Mia Cast
This soundtrack exploded on the charts this year both in the US and UK and this performance is super fun. "Mamma Mia" always reminds me of clubbing in London as they seem to often play it. The Brady Bunch Movie-esque outfits in "Dancing Queen" are great!
Coldplay-"Viva La Vida"
This song was absolutely massive in 2008 and this performance really shows why!

Girls Aloud on Paul O'Grady!
Here are the girls doing an interview and performance of "The Loving Kind" on Paul O'Grady's chat show. The girl look gorgeous as usual (except for Nicola who's looking rather nightmarish despite her cute dress). Sarah's voice really gets better and better each time I hear her perform.
Interview:
"The Loving Kind"
Hopefully this track will be their 20th consecutive top 10 single in the UK! It definitely deserves to be as I would consider it among their top 5 personal best, if not top 3!
